Release paper technical indicators are the following, dry silicon coating, room temperature stripping force, aging stripping force and residual adhesion rate.
Dry silicon coating amount refers to the amount of release agent coating on the material, the unit is grams per square meter. Generally, the coating amount of solvent type silicone oil ranges from 0.30~0.80 grams per square meter, while that of non-solvent type silicone oil ranges from 0.80~1.30 grams per square meter. Professional testing equipment is required to test the amount of coating. The amount of silicone oil coating directly affects the stripping performance. The higher coating amount can cover the base paper compactly and ensure the uniform distribution of silicone oil. And the lower amount of silicone oil coating, it is easy to appear leakage coating phenomenon, resulting in poor stripping. Some release coating suppliers in order to reduce the amount of silicone oil coating, resulting in heavy stripping, the production of heavy release paper, in use is quite risky. Reliable manufacturers are in the premise of not reducing the amount of silicone oil coating, through the adjustment of chemical formula to achieve the adjustment of stripping force. This is a technology that takes a long time to build up, not a quick fix.
Stripping force at room temperature. The stripping force data obtained by standard test method at room temperature is N/25mm, which can be converted into how many grams. Generally 0.10n /25mm, that is, the stripping force below 10 grams, commonly known as light stripping; 0.20n /25mm, that is, the stripping force below 20g, commonly known as medium stripping; 0.35~0.45N/25mm, i.e., 35~45 g stripping force, commonly known as heavy stripping; 0.60~0.80N/25mm, namely 60~80 g stripping force, commonly known as heavy stripping; Of course, there is also 0.03~0.04N/25mm, namely 3~4 grams of stripping force, commonly known as the light stripping; There is also 1.00N/25mm, which is more than 100 grams of stripping force, commonly known as overweight stripping.
Aging peeling force, after aging measured by the stripping force data, generally slightly larger than the normal temperature peeling force.
The residual adhesion rate refers to the force of the parting paper after the first stripping and the second stripping. The data obtained after calculation mainly reflects the curing effect of silicone oil. The residual adhesion rate of uv-curable silicone oil is generally 100%, and that of hot curable silicone oil is up to 90%. If a small number of suppliers claim that their release paper residual adhesion rate of 100%, that is suspicious. In the case of desilication, the residual adhesion rate of the release paper is generally not higher than 70%. It is quite a complicated project to test the technical index of mold release paper. General electronics factory, tape factory can only test after a few data. As for the amount of silicone coating, generally do not appear in the release coating supplier's technical report.
